Oaks Mackay Carlyle Suites

The staff were exceptional! We came to Mackay for a funeral. John made sure we had everything, even offering a wheelchair for my elderly father. Incredibly helpful. Greeting people everyday. Just all-around good people. Very personable staff who went above and beyond. Thank you for your assistance, Dee. The apartment had everything we needed, a great set-up of space.

I had booked and paid at check-in for 7 nights but unfortunately personal reasons meant I had to leave after the first night. I mentioned in passing to the staff that I would appreciate some refund if that was possible. Without fuss I received a refund on my credit card for 5 nights. I was very happy for them to charge for the second night as I checked out late.

The male receptionist (l forget his name)was very helpful and assisted us well when asked. He replaced the Iron as the one in our room had residue on it. Also there was a towell that needed replacing as well. We said we were sorry for pointing this out and he said no that's good otherwise we don't know.

The location was good and relatively easy to find and the people were very friendly and helpful.

Nice balcony, although didn't get to use it. Perfectly good for an overnight stop. Comfortable bed.
